Enabling Trace in Microsoft Dynamic CRM 4.0

While working with MS CRM who might have seen generic error which don’t provide much information.
Where do I get the more details information. Here we go.
Check your registry entries for below values.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\MSCRM]
"TraceEnabled"=dword:00000001
"TraceCategories"="*:Error"
"TraceCallStack"=dword:00000001
"TraceRefresh"=dword:00000001
"TraceSchedule"="Hourly"


If above values are not present in your registry then copy the above line of code & paste it to notepad, moving further change the extension from .txt to .reg. Run this file to make the necessary change in registry.

Restart the IIS , you would see the trace of error occurred in “C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics CRM Server\Trace”

Using this, you could see the detailed error message.
